Ladies of Kefir

So called because the bodies are plastic Kefir bottles covered in paper mache. Made during coronavirus lockdown the top layer is all about the 'virus'. They are wearing hand made clothes, some have hand made accessories and their hair is made from felting wool. They are all signed on the soles of their shoes.

Men of Actimel

Also made during the 'coronavirus lock-down", similarly the men of Actimel are made from Actimel yoghurt pots covered in paper mache, and again the top layer is all about the 'virus'. They are wearing hand made clothes, hair is felting wool and they are each signed on the soles of their shoes.

Hybrid Birds

Two different groups of birds the first being seagulls. Living by the coast there is no shortage of seagulls which have influenced my work. Seagulls have real character and I hope that my version made from paper mache and hand knit jumpers, show some of that.

The other set of birds are a kind of pigeon, which I affectionately call 'my spies'. They are named after real spies, and were made in 2018 from paper mache and dressed in hand knitted jumpers. All are signed on the soles of their feet and have name tags round their ankles.
